on eyewitness news this morning, orange county deputies say a man was attacked outside of a local bar. now he has a brain injury. the search for the suspect. fights broke out between supporters and protestors at a donald trump rally. cancel the event. breaking right now, a car fire down. what we just learned from fire it's saturday, march 12th. i'm daralene jones. we will have more on the top story in a minute. orlando. meteorologist marina jurica is in severe weather center 9 temperatures. >> we are continuing to see the 80s.

we are seeing haze and fog and definitely in volusia county. look look at daytona this morning, we are very foggy there. it's improving. that is the direction that we are going to be heading in in the next 60 minutes. a touch of fog everywhere else. it improved the last 30 minutes. big improvements by 9:00. you can see the fog pretty much completely lifted through the area. temperatures are in the 60s. it's very mild. a couple of 70s in cocoa beach and melbourne already. we will be warm in the mid-90s inland and upper 70s on the coast. i am tracking a chance for a few shot city -- spotty showers. >> we continue to follow breaking news in orange county right now. we just learned one person has died after a car caught fire on i-4. this happened at maitland boulevard. part of the highway in that area is shut down. eyewitness news this morning's julie salomone just arrived on the scene.

>> i spoke with maitland police officials as well as maitland fire officials. if you take a look behind me, we can see the car from this vantage stage point. we had to pull off on a side street because it's not safe for us to pull off for on i-4. you can see the burned out car. a man, approximately 60 years old was traveling at a high rate of speed. for some reason, the car eventually lost control and left the side of the road. he hit a sign and he was pronounced dead on scene. fire officials told me there was so much extensive damage to the vehicle that the engine actually fell off the car. transportation cameras. you can see the backup that it's creating on i-4 eastbound. i am told 90 a, the ramp to 90 a is closed and i-4 is reduced just to one lane open on eastbound right now near the maitland exit. so, again, one person has died

it eventually caught on fire. fire officials were able to put out the flames. if we can, take a look at one of the mobile units here. this is -- if we come back live you can see the maitland fire rescue and police incident support unit out here. i asked the officials what that was about. they told me when they work in extensive scene they bring out the unit to assist fire officials. this is the story that we will continue to follow and let you know when the scene clears up. reporting live in orange county, julie salomone, eyewitness news this morning. breaking in orange county in the last 45 minutes, an update about state troopers about a fatal hit and run in downtown orlando. we captured this video from the scene about 10:30 last night. state troopers say a nissan altima was speeding down colonial drive and hit a bicyclist in a turn lane. charles mcmurray was thrown off the bike and killed. the altima was found abandoned in orlando.

driver is still on the run. troopers just released new information about a fatal crash on merritt island. investigators say william spaeck lost control and crashed into a utility policy. his passenger died the crash. the crash is still under investigation. orange county deputies are working to find a woman that they say shot and killed a man in apopka. deputies responded near old apopka road last night. the man was found shot inside the home. he died at florida hospital apopka. we reached out to the sheriff's office to get more information about what lead to the shooting and the names of the suspect and the victim. we will bring you an update as soon as we learn more. deputies are trying to find the person that attacked and beat an orange county man. he has a brain injury. sebastian valencia is trying to recover at a local hospital. he was beaten outside of the

got this bill in the mail from the central florida expressway authority that he realized what happened. >> they put a 3.40 fee on there. when i saw that the lights were missing and the chip cards were coming out, i saw a real potential for a lot of local customers to get burned. >> reporter: officials told me without the indicators they use e-mail to let you know if your account balance is low. that means you could go through tolls with a negative balance. >> what you were charged was almost double. >> it was only 35 cents less for the fees and the actual tolls. if i had one less toll it would have been more in fees than for the tolls. that is crazy. >> reporter: it will cost you 10 cents per toll and $3 per mailed invoice.when multiplied by thousands of drivers, they add up. >> there are a lot of customers that will end up paying a lot more because cfx chose to remove these lights.

maitland police are investigating what lead up to a fatal crash and car fire. part of the area is shut down. eyewitness news's julie salomone has been speaking to investigators this morning. what have you learned about the victim. >> reporter: officials aren't releasing too much information. he was a male, approximately 60 years old. one of the police officials came out here to show us pole. the car crashed into the concrete pole. it's a sign attached to the pole. take a look at the video that we were sent. a witness sent us this as he drove by the area earlier. the car engulfed in flames. fire officials told me when

she went to a buy here, pay here dealer. after six months carnation sold her contract to sterling credit. >> we want to help you better your credit and we will put you with this sterling credit corporation. >> reporter: she made payments to sterling but said last month the new lender asked her about the truck's condition. >> i said, i will be honest with you, the truck has problems. >> reporter: then molina heard she no longer qualified and her loan was being sent back to carnation. that same day her truck disappeared. >> i was dumfounded. i thought somebody had stolen the truck. >> reporter: medina said carnation repossessed the truck without giving her a chance to make the payment due that week. >> reporter: she said the car was repoed? a manager didn't respond. was the loan sold to sterling finance. >> yes, it was. >> reporter: did she miss a payment? >> she did. >> when? >> reporter: later the company said she was four lays late. that's why sterling called to

of a fatal crash and car fire. you can see here the flames coming from the car at maitland side. orange county fire rescue officials told us one man died. maitland police are investigating exactly what caused the fire. we will have more live updates on eyewitness news this morning over on tv 27 in about five minutes. also breaking in orange county, state troopers are looking for the driver that hit and killed a bicyclist in downtown orlando then took off. we captured this video of the scene from our tower camera after 10:30 last night. a nissan altima was speeding and hit charles mcmurray in the turn lane. the altima was found abandoned in orlando a half hour later. daytona beach may see the busiest day of bike week today. so far state troopers say it has been relatively safe. there have been a handful of crashes in volusia county and a few fatalities. bikers say despite a few accidents, police helped keep
